Director of Policy Research & Development
Alexandra Parma is the Director of Policy Research & Development for the First 5 Center for Children’s Policy. Since joining the Center in 2019 as Senior Policy Research Associate, Alexandra has contributed to research, advocacy, and statewide thought leadership on early childhood policy, with a focus on Medi-Cal, home visiting, early childhood mental and developmental health.
Before joining the Center, Alexandra worked at First 5 LA where she supported local implementation of Help Me Grow, a national model to improve service coordination for families. Other experience includes time as a research team member for the national MIHOPE home visiting evaluations at MDRC, and staffing an after-school program for kids grades K-12 in Camden, NJ. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Fairfield University and a master’s degree in public affairs from Princeton University.
